Letter Updates
R is for Robin and Rose
Reviewing some of my work and making a few changes. I decided in reviewing the image below to make a few changes. When looking at the above illustration you can see I enlarged the robin as well as eliminating the tile foreground.
I also decided to make color changes for more impact on another letter R design.
R is for Raccoon, Rake, and Robin
Here is the updated version.
That is the beauty of working digital...you get to play and make changes that you think may improve one's illustration.

W is for Wonderful Whales!
W is for Wonderful Whales!
I finally got back to creating. Life has been busy!
I was reviewing the letter W designs I created in the past and worked to come up with yet another one.
Whales have always been fascinating to me. It took several sketches and finally I came up with this illustration to add to my collection of whimsical letters of the alphabet I call Alphabet Soup.

Latest Illustrations
Morning Visitor
Above is an illustration I did earlier this month to escape the gray days of winter.
Thought it would be nice to have a different view of summer weather out the window.
What is Done in Love
The above illustration was inspired by an older illustration I did years ago with the same quote and subject matter.
The beauty of designing digitally is being able to create different versions and looks.
Below is the older illustration:
When reviewing the older illustration, I first thought to make the cup less busy and then proceeded to make more changes, like the bird, background color, many of the flowers, etc.
I remember seeing many paintings an artist would illustrate of similar subject matter with changes of perspective, color, etc. But before the ability of being to illustrate digitally, the artist had to start from scratch and it was much more difficult to make changes once one started.
Designing and illustrating digitally is far more forgiving and makes if fun to create various variations.
