It has been a very busy fall and I have had little time to play and create. With the cold weather approaching, I decided to look back on an older design and update it a bit by adding a few things like a light house and another bird and modifying the layout. 

The nice part of winter is the days will now slowly get longer!

January Blahs

January

It has been very cold and snowy in Ohio during this month of January,

not to mention the endless gray skies!

Snow at Christmas is festive, but not in January when the reality of winter hits. 

Heavy coats and boots weigh us down as we try to make our way out of the comfort of our homes.

The bright side is this: there is less than a week left of January and February is a short month!

The days are getting longer!

Both January and February are those months of recuperation, collecting our thoughts, and cleaning out closets of unwanted stuff. It is the preparation for Spring!

Maybe January is a necessity.

Winter Blahs

Feeling kind of nutty as January drags on.

The squirrels outside my window were not defeated by the snow as I am. The were busy looking of lunch and kept my cat Katie entertained.

Only 4 more days of January to go!

I am feeling January with all the snow outside. Now that I am retired and not designing in a windowless cubical, I get to drink in the seasons and see the changes from month to month.

January is the beginning.

The days are now getting longer rather than shorter.

It is snow and quiet.

It is a time of hibernation.

It is a time of books and contemplation.

It is a time to dream.

January's gift is the rest needed before wakening.
