I just did a show where someone asked if I had a P for Peacock. Sadly I did not.  

So here it is upon request! 

G is for Giraffe

G is for Giraffe

G is for Giraffe is the newest addition to my collection of illustrated letters that I have created. 

For a couple of years, while doing art festivals, I have listened to people who are looking for a giraffe. They are still quite popular! 

I finally came up with one that I liked that will also read as the letter G.

V is for Vine and Veranda

V is for Vine and Veranda

I have to admit, although I love the letter V, it is not that easy to come up with ideas for it. The word Vulture just does not do it for me. So as I thought of the wonders of summer and its lazy days on the porch, I came up with V is for Vine as well as Veranda. If you note, there are suggestions of violet and verbena in the color scheme. Okay, I know, I am pushing it.

 

The Letter Q

Q is for Quilt and Quill

A new addition to my series of illustrated letters that I call Alphabet Soup. 

It seems Q and X have been the only letters that I have tackled just once. Finally I have gotten around to illustrating another letter Q.

Revisiting the Letter P

P is for Poppy

Every once in awhile I revisit a design I have done to see if it could be illustrated better. In this case it is The Letter P which I designed years ago. I am glad I did in this case. Here is the new updated version. 

R is for Rose

Okay, this is the fourth letter R that I have designed! But 2 of them are, well not feminine at all, and one is definitely for kids, so I felt I would take another stab at it.

So if you like roses, or your name is Rose, this letter R is right up your alley.

Of course, I like to add a few ladybugs for luck!

Here is an new additional G to join my two other G's in my ever growing collection of illustrated letters I call Alphabet Soup.  

I went for some bright color to contrast with the white and milky light grays of  February.

W is for Watering Cans and Wonderful Wrens

You may have to take a second glance, but can you see the W? 

(Besides what is written on the gift tag) 

Watering Cans, Wrens, and Wild Berries make up this latest W. 

It is filled with a Wealth of good Wishes for any W admirer.

Z is for Zebra!

I have been in the flow of ideas, but I have to confess a bit tired now. 

When I started this project of illustrated letters some 4 years ago, I first started with the letter Z not knowing where it would take off. It seemed like a good idea to tackle Z again.

I shall name him Zack for a new Z come back.

The Letter V for Vase of Verious Flowers

Here is a new addition to my Alphabet Soup of Illustrated Letters

with a new Version of the Letter V. 

I kind of thought that the letter V would make a Very Vibrant Visual of a Vase.

Of course one will need Various Vibrant Flowers to fill it!

The Letter U for U Turn

U is for U Turn on Utopia Rd.

I have to say U is not an easy letter to inspire an Unusual idea. After doing Mr. U for the letter U, my mind drew a complete blank. But finally, finally, I thought of doing a road in a U shape.

So here is the new U,  unveiled.

T is for Tiger, Tea, & Toucan!

T is for Tiger, Tea & Toucan!

 

Yes, it is another T. Since I have been making alternatives to my original letters in my alphabet series, it was time to illustrate another T.

 

Meet Ted the Tiger who is giving a Tea with Tessa the Terrific Toucan.

By the way, Ted is standing on a Tile floor as he balances Two Teacups while Tessa holds a Tea bag over the Table with the steaming Teapot .

 

 

The Letter S for Swan

It has become apparent that I needed to add an additional S to my alphabet collection.

So here is Sweet Sally the Swan Swimming Silently. 

The Letter P for Peas in a Pod

P is for Peas in a Pod

Here is a new P to add to my collection of illustrated letters.

P is not just for Peas in a Pod, 

but a Pink Papillon, 

as the French would might call a butterfly,

on a yellow Paisley Paper.

I might add the ladybugs are Precious!

I do hope this is Perfect for some People!

The Letter M for Mermaids

M is for Marvelous Mermaids

Finally another idea for the letter M. 

My last approach with the letter M was M is for Mustache. Although fun, it seemed a bit limited as to my only M offering. 

I thought of map, but I have done the map theme before with C is for Compass and G is for Globe, although I may do one yet in that as it could become a theme. Thought of mountains, morning glories, and marigolds as well, but mermaids won out.

The Letter I for Ibis & Ivy

I is for Ibis & Ivy

I wanted to do another letter I, but I words were not inspiring and I was at a loss. 

There not many I words that are tangible things. 

Okay, there is iguana and iris, but that is about it after ivy and ibis. 

I had to look up what an ibis looked like. To my surprise the birds were not only white, but some are a marvelous RED! 

One was not enough. Of course once I added a second!  There had to be a little romance happening since Valentine's Day is two weeks away. 

He IDOLIZES her! 

Sigh! 

So there we are, my IDEA for the letter I.

The Letter G Makes a Great Goose!

G is for Goose

Must be October that is inspiring this palette. 

I am back to creating more illustrated letters, as in this case the letter G to add to my Alphabet Soup collection.
